The first thing you will notice about the completely revamped Yahoo! Mail is its uncanny resemblance to Google’s Gmail. However, it was about time that Yahoo! engineers pulled up their socks, considering that it was losing a lot of clientele to the latter. Under CEO Marissa Mayer’s leadership and Yahoo!’s sixteenth birthday, all Yahoo! users will be migrated to the newer version of the mail application, both PC and mobile versions. Most of the “paid” features of the erstwhile mail applications, namely, disposable e-mail addresses, automatic message forwarding, offline message viewing using POP, have been made available to everyone. All your mails (depending on the subject) are categorized and grouped together for easier access, as well as the background feature are exact replicas of the features first introduced by Gmail. The new Yahoo! Mail retains its Dropbox integration, which was the first step toward the “reinvention.” One distinctive feature of Yahoo! Mail over its rival is that it features a massive 1 TB of memory storage. With Flickr also providing the same amount of massive space, a Yahoo! e-mail address can provide much more memory space as compared to your Google address (Gmail and Picasa). With the mobile application having the same look as the PC one, only time will tell how will these features attract the already dwindling numbers of Yahoo! e-mail users…

Exactly! But this is why the extra space is offered to attract clients.
